I bought my PS2 day of launch. I used DVD X-Copy Express to back up my movie. But I get the Disk Read Error when I try to play it. I used Memorex -R disk. What's going on??? Thanks in advance.

what game are you backing up, do you have a mod chip or swapdisks?

Might be a media issue. Try a Verbatim disc burned at 1x and see if that solves your problem. Some v1 PS2's don't really read burned media well enough to play backups.

My PS2 is not modded in any way yet. At this time I was just trying to play a back up of a movie not at game. I cant adjust the speed of X-Copy (at least I think) to 1x. So do you think that I will not be able to play back up of games since I am having problems with movies?

Some older PS2's cant read dvd-r or +R media, what version do you have? Has your ps2 read any back-up movies before?

copy x speed can't be adjust it reads/copy that your drive's max speed. version 1 ps2 can't read at 4x or rewritables
