i recently bought a dvd burner and have tried to back up all of my dvds. however, after i burned them and play them, they start to get jittery somewhere near the end of the movie. Ive tried using different media, different programs, the only thing that worked was copying dvd-5 movies with dvdcopy plus. ive tried using dvd shrink, ripping the movie to my hard drive and burning it with nero, or ripping it as an .iso and burning with dvd decryptor. when i play some of the my dvd-r on my computer and play each individual .vob file.,usually the first 2-3 work and the last one doesn't. however, when i first rip the movie, each .vob files work on my hard drive, they dont work once on the disc.
does anyone know why this mite be? a lot of my movies only get jittery the last 5 minutes or so
Can you list for us all the different types of media you've used thus far?
Skipping at the very end of the disc is usually caused by either low quality media, burning too close to the edge of the disc or a combination of the two.
What make/model burner are you using? Firmware version?
My killer sig came courtesy of bb "El Jefe" mayo.

my dvd burner is an artec, ive used generic compusa dvd-r, general dvd-rs from frys, as well as imation. i dont know what firmware is, im not entirely familiar with what that is. Ive tried burning at different speeds it doesnt help. i also thought it had soething to do with the discs, but i also burned smaller dvds that were only about 3.5 gigs and had the same problem at the end. basically when i put those dvds in my computer and play each .VOB file seperatly, the last one or two dont work. im triyng to figure out if its my program (im using nero), or the burner, i dont think its the discs b/c i have used all of them on copy2dvd, also i have created my own dvds with mpeg2 files with intervideo dvd, and when i burn those dvd they work fine, that has been the only thing that works.
