Here is my problem....I have an eMac which I installed a third party dvd burner LG (HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4081A). I have burned about 30 dvd movies without error. Now, all of a sudden, when I put a blank dvd into the burner it gives me the incorrect capacity. You see, during the first 30 burns, when I entered a blank dvd it would give me a blank dvd capacity of 4.4 G free (after it would be formatted). Now it gives me a capacity of 4.28 G. I would like to know why it has changed and what I can do to get it back to the right capacity. It seems to be something with my finder because my NTI Dragon Burn sees it still as 4.4G of free space. When I try to burn a 4.4 G movie, I get a error telling me there is not enough free space in the destination disk. I look at the blank dvd in the finder using get info and it says only 4.28 G of free space. I am using Mac OS 10.3.5 and I use NTI Dragon Burn and I already told you above of my burner. Is there anyway my burner is damaged or not reading it right...although NTI says it is alright for capacity. I really need help with this. Could my burner be screwed????
