Hi,
i was just wondering what type of paper companies use to cover their dvd cases, it feels glossy but at the same time a bit matt, anyone know where you can i buy it from and if you can print on it, i wouldnt mind covering my backup dvd cases in the same material as the originals, any help would be much appreciated

Meritline.com has some cover papers, but I personally use the HP semi-glossy paper, looks and works great and is also cheap.

150grm Photo Satin finish paper A4 size is a good one ,not to thick to fold around the spine and gives good definition.I buy cheap unbranded stuff here in the UK at computer shows.

I use 5 Star 120gsm high res (1440dpi) paper from Euroffice.

http://www.euroffice.co.uk/itm_show.asp?G11703=5-Star-High-Resolution-Matt-Inkjet-Paper

£15+p&p for 200 sheets (about 8p/sheet).

It's not so thick it doesn't bend, has very good whiteness and you can print solid black at 1440dpi+ without it warping.

It's the best value for money cover-paper I've come across so far. If anyone else knows of a paper for less than 10p/sheet of similar quality, I will be very interested to hear from them :)

Vinyl Push, I'm always open to a good deal, I'll check 'em out. Are these 8 x 11?

Are you all crazy?
I use ordinary 80gsm photocopying paper from tesco. Costs £1.97 for 500 sheets.
I print it in 'best photo' mode on one of my Epson printers.
Absolutely perfect.
When the paper is behind the plastic covers it looks all glossy and shiny anyway.
My dvd covers are the talk of every Tupperware party for miles around.

Not crazy, just picky. I have tried similar photocopy paper and I much prefer the glossy paper for my covers. Besides, I don't go to tupperware parties. lol
