Firstly I have been using this site for a while to get info for backing up my DVD's and the info is great, only just joined though. My problem is I have just bought a PS2 and wanted to get it chipped so I could use back ups of my Bro's games but found out they are now illegal in UK and can't get it done anywhere. I have now been reading up on HD Loader/ advance and am considering this route. I am worried you cannot add a HD to a ps2 uk version as the software and even network adapters seem to be very difficult to come by. or is it just that the uk don't seem to have caught on to this ingenious idea yet.

Also another thought if it is possible to simply add a HD to my UK PAL PS2 is HD Loader or advance the only software I need? Have I got this right?

Connect 120gb Maxtor HD to network adapter
Plug in to PS2
Insert HD Loader/Advance to format the HD
Insert game to copy to HD
