Saving Media Clips in Vegas Projects

If I add more clips to an existing vegas project and then save the project with the 'save with clips trimmed' option, how do I just save the newly added clips to my project folder and not save new copies of the same clips I already had stored in Vegas? Everytime I add new clips and save, Vegas makes copies of all my other clips which is increasing my project size exponentially averytime I save!
