I can open dvd's okay but during backup about half way thru it stops and error reads cannot find sector unable to continue. pls help?? I have done about 20 dvd's previously but now not working. I have reloaded the software with no luck. pls help.

Welcome and it sounds like the DVD has a scratch or a bad sector at that spot. You might try DVDDecrypter to do the rip ( file mode ) and see if it will read through the error. If it can then use Shrink and Nero to compress and burn.

Use decrypter and use the tick box for ignore errors and you should be in business
