something funny!
yesterday i was backing up a new dvd. i used dvd decrypter to rip. and when it was time for the audio ( not ac3 ) i opened dvd2avi. i selected the first audiotrack wich was the right one without directors commentary. at this point i didnt realize that there wasnt any audio during the warnings text at the beginning of the first vob... i just marked the movie because i didnt want the the copyright warning texts. i used cdex to make the rif wav that i was going to use in virtualdub. in virtualdub i opened the avi from vfapi i allready made and the rif wav from cdex. after 10 hours or something like that, i opened the result in divx player and surely the focking audio was out of sync. i watched some points of the movie to find out if the audio was more behind at the end of the movie than it was at the beginning! it wasnt. it was about 20 second to early through the whole movie.
i wathced the beginning of the movie once more and i realized that audio started to play to late. i opened the rif wav and realiced that, about the first 20 seconds was missing. oh no! took a 2 hours brake to drink some coffe and think! opened the vob files in powerdvd to find out that the warning texts at the beginning was completly without audio. man i thougt maybe this screwed up dvd2avi. opened the program marked the whole movie this time with the copyright warning texts. and got what i wanted the whole audio file. havent go any further. now i think i should use my old d2v file to get the video without "cwtexts" and then maybe it will work.
one question though. shouldnt dvd2avi rip the audio witch i checked. i cant understand why it should skip the 20 first seconds. all "cwtexts" together was about 2 minutes long i could understand if it becouse of that skipped about 2 minutes of the audio, but why 20 seconds? wich me luck!
