Booting with MAX programs, action replay, etc.

I have a Ps2 32 mb memory card made by MAX, the people who make action replay. To activate the memory card you have to boot using a boot disc that comes with it. Then you have put in the game you want to play.

My question is:
Can I use the COG method, Knife method, or swap method to use back up games?
