Problem with Sony Camcorder DCRTRV250

I have a Sony DCRTRV250 with which I am facing a problem. When I switch on my camcorder, that is bring it to camera mode, no picture is shown on the viewfinder or the LCD screen. I only get to see a white blank screen with a green lining around. I checked with the zoom function, fader, focus, nothing works. Can anyone suggest a remedy for such a problem.
