Help! How to get HDLoader to boot

I d/l the ps2ownz cracked hdloader from bittorrent and i burned the image to a CD. Well after installing a HD and booting it, ps2 reads "Please insert a ps2 disc"

so where did i messed up this process? i am a newbie @ this so excuse my ignorance... thanks

do you have some sort of mod for your ps2? if not, you either need to get one or buy hd loader.

crap, nope no mods, i have read about this, so this does not have anything to do w/ the cracked version? i d/l the crack version of hdloader.. thought it might be the key...

the ps2 will not play burnt discs (other than dvd movies) without some kind of mod.
