Hello,
I am a new user at afterdawn.com and I was wondering if anyone could help with my DVD problems. Y'see, as above, my drive seems to run DVDs perfectly. BUT without sound. Anyone can help fix this? I'm running on a WIN XP OS. Thanks.

What happens if you play an audio CD in the drive?

The software I use to run DVDs is the software which comes with CREATIVE LABS PC-DVD products. I haven't tried an audio CD yet. What does it mean if the audio CD has no sound either?

(PS: I have tried the disc on a proper DVD player, and it works with sound. So it's not the disc's fault.)

Have you tried adjusting the audio properties in whatever software you're using to play the DVD's?

The reason I asked if an audio CD worked is to isolate whether it's something to do with the drive or the software player you're using.

Well... thankyou for your suggestions, but my father has fixed the problem. I'm unsure what the hell he did, but I can hear KILL BILL vol.2 on my PC now :) Thanks!
