OK, so I've downloaded the AC3DEC software, but what do I do with it now? Normally I'm pretty good at figuring out what to do with software, but this one's got me.

You give very few details, so let me try and read your mind. You want to rip the audio from DVDs.

And you want the format to be *.ac3 ?

Use Smartripper, Stream Processing. The rest should be straight forward.
