I have converted from DVD to SVCD by using the DVD2SVCD, but when I finished the job I got the converted file, not the kind of movie, in the output folder with the big capacity ( about 1,230 KB ).
I want to know that this is a kind of converted SVCD? And how can I play it? If these are all faile, what's wrong with my converting? And what should I do to get the perfect converting?

Please, give me the clue!!!
Thanks,

sounds like you did not tell it to split the file. A typical movie in svcd is about that size. One of the settings available is what file size you want (selections are 1 file, 650mb cd, or 700mb cd).

I do still not understand about the split file in the DVD2SVCD. When I converted from DVD to SVCD, I am sure, I did all what they said ( the guide to convert to SVCD ) but, where can I set to split file in it? And where can I select the file size with 650MB CD? as you said.
Please, explain easily to me.
Thanks,

I misspoke when I said there is a setting to split the file in this program. I tried them all and I go this program mixed up with dvdx. You still can save that file by downloading tmpgenc and go file/mpeg tools/merge and cut. Here you can cut the file in two. Even though your disk says it can only hold 700meg, the avi file can be up to 800 meg and it will be able to fit on a 700 meg cd in vcd or svcd format.

looking back at the program, it is at biterate setting you can set where to split the file. Check the length of the movie and then go to biterate tab and slect the amt of cd's to use...

In your output directory, you should have helluvalots of files, if you have followed our SVCD.cfm" class="forum_link" target="_blank">DVD2SVCD guide -- the .bin and .cue files are the final movie, ready CD images that just need to be burned to CD. If your last step what you have in there, is an SVCD file of 1.2GB, not any splitted files, then your SVCD.cfm" class="forum_link" target="_blank">DVD2SVCD has probably crashed after the encoding part and you need to use the recovery option to continue where it left off.

When my svcd converting finished, I got a lot of files in the output folder such as cd-image file, converted file, audio file... (only audio file that can play with WinMedia). And what's about the other files? Are they the kind of the video? If so, which files do I have to burn to cd as I got such much files? Else, what's wrong with my converting as I tried it many times and I got the same massage-result "svcd converting finished"?

Please, help me....

The .bin and .cue files (1-3 pairs of them, depending on how many CDs the movie takes) are the only ones you need. Those you burn to CD by using Nero or similiar software -- in our article section, there's a guide on how to burn .bin/.cue files to CD with Nero. Read it.
