Can I download files straight to my xbox?

I know there is a web brower that you can download to surf the internet through the xbox. My question is can i download files straight to my xbox HDD without using a computer? If i cannot use my pc at the time can i use my xbox to download the files?

i'm assuming you have a chipped box and an upped hard drive - if you want to be able to do things such as download files, i'd suggest you look into an xbox linux distro - i'd specifically recommend gentoox. www.xbox-linux.org can answer your questions
