I curently have a Memorex Burner and i bought 100 Imation Media Discs and have had one Coaster I am throughly impressed with these discs another bonus is i payed 64 bucks for a 100 discs thats a steal

Imation imo dont even make good coasters!
Why pay that much for imation, when you can get riteks for about 20 cents a disc cheaper,now THATS a steal.

Had the same results with Sonic 4x media but paid a lot less. So I burned 22 disks without a coaster. The kicker is the price......$25 for 100 plus free shipping. Found it at shop4tech.com

Lower quality media tends to use dye that doesn't have good data integrity which in essence means they'll start to give read errors a few months down the road.

You can use this tool http://dvd.identifier.cdfreaks.com/to get the manufacturer ID from the media and then check out how it rates at this site:

http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm

Imation isn't known for putting out quality media. Consider that Ritek G04 is known quality and I just picked up 100 for $49.
