I have been trying to burn 8x with my memorex but my burner will not burn at 8x. Used prodisc -8x, Ridata - G05. Anybody using memorex and can burn at 8x? Which media are you using?

Have you updated your firmware?
I dont use memorex and neither should you imho,with memorex you never know what your going to get,because they outsource to whoever will do it at the time.You cant go wrong with ritek ridata.
Find out the make, and model of your burner, and then google a update for your firmware(make sure it is the exact one, as a bad flash could kill your burner).That should get you burning at 8x,as long as your burner supports that speed.
