Not too long ago I bought and installed a flip-top along with the Swap Magic discs. I also bought Breaker Pro for booting PS1 backups. I've been mostly successful backing up and playing my games, everything seems to work fine except for one thing. I am seeing a black border at the top and bottom of my screen (about an inch wide) on most games. I can understand this maybe happening on the backups, but the strange thing is that I'm getting the same problem on my ORIGINAL games now as well. I've had some of these games for a long time and never had this problem. My PS2 and all my games are NTSC, US versions -- no imports or PAL whatsoever.

I'm not using the Swap Magic or Breaker Pro discs when loading originals, just putting them in and loading them the normal way.. so I don't understand why this would be happening. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Nice idea, thanks for the suggestion but I just tried all three screen size settings in the PS2 system config and it didn't seem to change the problem, even when set to full screen. In fact, no matter what screen size setting I put it on it didn't change the size of the screen when I loaded a game. Any other ideas?
