I tried using decryptor and when i go to write iso image and bring up 1 of the iso files from dvd loader it says: invalid or unsupported file image format! The DVD loader i downloaded has 19 files and 2 folders and decryptor doesnt like any of them.

download it again http://www.consolemaniac.com/en-us/pg_22.html

just use winrar to extract the iso. Don't bust open the iso, burn it with DVD Decrypter.

Yeah i got the exact same problem as you Rotary, I downloaded dvdloader v7 from the site that sly gave us and i used DVD Decrypter to burn the iso image.

I boot up swap magic dvd then i swap it with dvdloader using the fliptop and i get the red/pink border.

I have a version 1 ps2 by the way
