error in TPGEnc Plus 2.5, PLS HELP

hi ppl, ill get right to the point
- i have some avi files that i want to encode to m2v using Tmegenc plus so i can put em' on DVD. i could done that before when i had my old PC without a single problem, and i tell you my old HDD was in real mess, now everything is fast and working except for TmegEnc...
- i did everything, set video size and all that s***, but when i press the START button i get this message: "Read error occured at address 00012F40 of module "TMPGEnc.exe" with 733A3221" - what does that mean???? - i allready tried to:
1. reinstall TMEGEnc
2. deselect SSE in CPU settings in eviromental settings
3. deselect use floating point DTC in quantize Matrix in settings
4. in VTAPI plug-in seting in eviromental settings put the highest priority of DirectShow Multimedia file reader, was on -1 i set it to 2
5. change the AVI itself by VirtualDub
and nothing works....
- my PC configuration of hardware is not a problem: athlon 2500XP, 1024 RAM, Radeon 9600 128mb and so on...
What do you think guys?????
