I have a region 4 dvd that I bought online. I'm having trouble ripping it so that its a all region dvd so I can watch it here in the us. Anyone having any suggestions on whats best to do?

I tried using DVD Decrypter to rip the dvd. When I went to play it the player simply could not read it at all. When I did get a copy to play it would jump chapters and not play consistantly. There would be various scenes that would look very, very pixulated and others not. I did not compress the movie and its not large enough to do so.

Yes, I burned a iso as well as a file copy to the hard drive using DVD Decrypter. I'm trying to get my stand alone component player to play the a copy.I have DVD Decrypter, clone dvd, and DVD Shrink as my primary programs. I usually use clone dvd to burn the disc cuz I've had problems with Nero. I have plextor's newest single layer burner.I burn at 4x normally and use various brands but mostly tdk. I've gotten others copies to work just for some reason this region 4 encoding is not working.
The film may be in a format other than NTSC. Try loading one of the VOBs in VirtualDubMod or possibly FlaskMPEG, they should tell you if it's NTSC or PAL.
