Nero 5.5.10.56 Express creates DVD or VCD????

I have Nero Express and see alot of talk of Nero-ROM. When I open Nero for choices of burn video I only have VCD or SVCD. My question is then, If using DVDShrink or Decrypter and Nero Express to burn (using DVD blank media) do I end up with a VCD or a DVD? That is IF I actually had a DVD burner, presently I only have CD-R so I am ok with just VCD.

Or do I need some other version of Nero to burn DVD?

Also, I love this site and appreciate all the learned feed back, perhaps a "Prerequisites" closed post would prevent a question as asked above..i.e You need the appropiate software Smartripper, DVDshrink...etc, You need ______ software to burn, You need a DVD burner to burn DVD media or only cd-r to create VCD.

it doesn't give you the dvd option since you don't have a dvd burner.

Best getting yourself a dvd writer as they are really cheap you will then see the real power behind Nero.
