I converted an avi to DVD using dvd2avi (I have the dvd2svcd 1.2.2 build 2 pack) It plays back fine in my software dvd player (WinDVD) but when I play it back in my standalone player the black borders seem to "flicker" vertically, which is very annoying to watch :)
I have tried using avisynth to crop a little from the top and bottom of the source, but this had no effect. Should I be trying something like BorderControl ?
Below is the dvd2svcd project file from my last failed attempt.
