i have just copyed nightmare on elmstreet and i havewatched it on my pc and watched it on my down stiars dvd player but when i watch it in my mums room or in my bed room every time it gose from chapter 1.1 to 1.2 it jumps back to the main menu but thats only on 2 of my dvd player

If it works fine in some of your players then the disc is probably good and the problem is some sort of compatibility issue with your other players. Some players have problems with certain brands of media, +R format or burning too fast.

yer i n it would be the dvd-r discs but the all fine never had a problem with them at all i even tryed the origanl dvd and it dose the same works on my pc and on my dvd played down stires but in my room and in my mums roon it wont work on the dvd players keeps jumping back to the main menu after the first chapter 1.1 never gets to chapter 1.2 unles i use the select screen menu

I'd be stretching the truth if I said I completely understood your last post. I'm not trying to give you a hard time but if you could take your time and type things more clearly it would help me out a lot.
From what I gather not only does the copy skip on your and your mum's players but the original does too, correct?

What software are you using?
What make/model burner are you using?
What brand/type media are you using?

A note to help you in the future.
1st Please type in something closer to English (try using a spell check).
2nd You have GOT to use some puncutuation.
I'm trying to tell you nicely. Many will look at a post such as this and not answer because it takes too darn long to figure out what you're trying to say. As you've seen, my friend Nephilim couldn't figure it all out and he's got the patience of a saint -
BTW, My money is on your media. try a decent media i.e. Sony, RiData, Ritek G04's Verbatim DataLife OR any media boasting "Advanced Metal AZO"

sorry about that im not good with spelling or grammer so ill try again for you all.
im using a good media im usind riteck. i have never had a problem with them b4.
yes thats right the origanal dose the same on my mums and on my dvd player. it all ways jumps back to main menu every time it gose on to chapter 1.2, the origanal works fine on my pc and on my dvd player down stiars it just plays as nothing is wrong
this is my third copy of the origanl and its doing the same as all the others i have had of the film

This is a very strange problem indeed. Did you get all three originals at the same store? It's possible the store recieved a bad run of discs and it could be that your and your mum's players are less tolerant of errors than the other players in your house.

It seems like the only thing left doesn't it Nephlilm.
As the original does it, it doesn't seem that it's a media problem at all.
Lucas23, is it possible to take the original back to the store and trade it for another ?
If it's a flaw in the one disc, that should solve the problem BUT if it's a bad pressing from the manufactures you'll probably get another like this one :(
