hi first time post can anyone tell me why i can copy some dvd movies and some i cant ,i have dvd movies frome friends,that i would like to copy to have for myself,thanks

dvd x copy platinum is to be used to backup your personal dvds. It is illegal to copy someone elses movies. This is stealing. Please don't post here anymore if your intentions are to defraud. If you have copy problems with personal movies you would have to be more specific.

XCopy software sometimes have issuies with certain movies and in most cases they are resolved by TDF files but now that 321 have gone under the TDF server is not available anymore. For problem DVDs use DVDShrink and if the problem persists use DVD Decrypter first and then DVDShrink.

Hi guys!
My question is why or how are my original movies like 7.9G when I check and my backups end up 4.6G.. Are the origional DVDs really almost 8 gigs on one side of the DVD?? or is it a kind of size spoof like the software CDs are sometimes to keep you from copying them. Are there DVDs that are 8G on only one side like my original DVDs? I use CopyDVD and DVDshrink to make my backups, but I notice a degradation in picture quality from having to "squeeze" the data in half soto speak. Can one of you gurus out there give me that answer? Thanks guys!

Purchased dvd movies come in 2 sizes. DVD 5 single layer discs that are around 4.4gig, and dvd 9 dual layer discs that are about 8.4 gig on one side. The most common blank media is single layer discs labeled 4.7 gig. There are now also the new dual layer blanks but you need the new dual layer burners to use them. Hope this is what you needed.

hi i was able to buy a copy of dvd x copy plat 4.xxx the last version with the ccs ripper but I lost my id and password to get it to work can someone help me i called techelp but they dont help I need this please help me i tried to use dvdshrink but it takes me 15 hours to make 1 DVD!!!!!!! with plat it only took 3 please help

First try ... not using "DVD Shrink 3.2 Quality Enhancements", and if it's still slow uncheck the box to "Perform deep analysis".
