can any v4 owners with fliptop/swapmagic 3.0 tell me step by step how they make and play a backup? for some reason every method i've tried with memorex dvd+r's (and -r's) has failed. obviously it has to work because some of you have v4s without complaint.

any ideas? thanks.

try a better media than memorex and use -r.

I use TDK for my V4 system and have used Verbatim, Khypermedia and many others in the past. All are -R. Some models of V4 will not read +R.

Maxell r also good. try ritek...every1 uses them...but yes stay away from Memorex, they're horrible

I use Ritek DVD-R GO4 4x and they work everytime. The price isn't to bad either ($17 for 25). If you read a lot of these threads, you'll see that most people use or recommend Ritek.
