Wasn't sure which media to use when I bought this (+ R or -R). I randomly picked -R (Wal-Mart Durabrand -R). Low and behold things worked, backed up about 25 movies using -R no problems with the DVD burner or either of my APEX DVD players. This week movies were being shrunk and files transfered to my hard drive no problem. When I would put the blank -R in the drive to burn the files, it would burn the lead in, then start burning the files, it would get about 10 seconds into the burn and give me media wrong type errors. I tried re-installing Nero and dvd shrink and dvd decryptor with no luck. I tried a DVD +R and everything is great again. What happened? Why did my burner all of a sudden hate Durabrand -R blanks?
