Burning at 4x (NERO) with the LG-4040B

Hello everyone,

Here's my 2 cents worth on burning speeds.

I bought some E3works DVD-R from futureshop, and they burned great at 4x.

To my surprise, my DVD backups froze and skipped near the end of the movies.

I started to burn those E3works at 2x and my problems went away.

So I guess yes, burning speed does make a difference.

Also bought some Ridata (Ritek) G04 DVD-R and I had the same skipping problems when I burned at 4x.

Same with those, burned at 2x and all skipping went away.

If it's skipping towards the end try knocking the target file size down to 4,300MB and see what happens :)
