PS2menu with modded PS2?

I have been unable to find information about using mc exploits with a modded PS2. I basically want to be able to boot my machine in PS2 mode and have PS2menu load. For me, using a PS1 disc is a pain, since I then have to boot in PS1 mode, and am unable to load DVD games with hdloader. Anyone know what kind of disc I can make that would let me just power up straight into PS2menu (Ps2link) while staying in PS2 mode? Thanks.

Forget it, I have answered my own question. Occam's razor. Just burn PS2LINK and it's associated files onto disc and tell system file to boot the elf. Haha, I feel so stupid for wasting 6 CDs on this.
