When watching fast & furious, it was sickining me at the so called barn burners the kids are so use to today, you know the lawn mowers, but when that baby came out stormen out of his garage, it sent chills down my spine, and the sound of a true hemi, music to my ears.

it's not the cars that kids today use, it's how they do them. they act like stickers add horsepower. ugly vinyl graphics, fart can exhausts, all that gaudy crap and pathetic attitude is what makes an import a ricer burner. and it sickens me.
i drive a japanese car (subaru impreza), and it's no ricemobile, it's a true performer.
classic, aggressive lines; low, deep, angry sound that comes from real power and not a glasspack or fartcan; an efficient and well-built engine that makes good power, no matter what the cubes; these are just some of the things that make a car something to be respected, and you'll find none on a ricer.
just to rant a bit, i hate gaudy chrome wheels. your ballers' SUVs are even worse than ricers. pure waste.
none of the chargers in the movie were true-built performers; they just had phonies built for different purposes, nothing bigger than a low-power 440 with a fake blower on top. but anyway, i'm pretty sure the the car's..."image" wasn't based on a hemi, but on a stroked 440. sound rarely matches up to actual engines in movies, so you can't really go by that one.

my car's only 2.5 liters, but i've seen the same block make a *streetable* 798 horsepower. crazy or what, eh? no ricer could touch that, nor should they be allowed to, the way they torture their cars.

LOL... "baller's" thats priceless... LMAO!!
anywho... chrome can look nice... but not too much of it...
i'm glad aus hasn't got his subaru done up like he is entering for the WRC :-P
**EDIT**
had this in NFS: carbon too --
but mine looked awesome... then when you pulled away at the start line... well lets just say if you had an MTX jackhammer hooked up to your TV, you would no longer have a head...

any vehicle running larger than 20 inch rims on the road (we're neglecting off-roaders here) should have a .50 caliber bullet put through the engine block and the owner's head made into a hood ornament. you have no idea how many SUVs, loaded up in chrome and crap, that i see with *one person* inside rolling though the city here at 8 mpg as a *daily driver*. that pisses me off sooo badly. people just won't learn that a weekend cruiser or racer should *not* be a daily driver.
my car won't be done up for the wrc, but it will be getting either a full STI drivetrain conversion at some point, or an STI block, tranny, etc, but with a dual-phase supercharger and a bypass valve and aftermarkete ECU--something that will allow me to run at 28 mpg until i flip a switch, then more than doubling my horsepower.
but anyway, you'll never see graphics or vinyl or stickers or any of that bull on my car. you'll never see a fart can. you'll never see a shopping cart wing or ricer wheels. my car is clean cut and aggressive, and will stay that way. ^.^
*edit*
sublime '70 hemi-cuda. there's only 11 of those with a 4-speed and convertible in existence (random, semi-related fact). not sure how many there were total. the lines are off, though. the car wasn't that long in relation to it's height. that a wide-screen shot or something?

depends on the car what you can paint and it still look clean. teeth don't belong on a car at all. maybe a truck.
1 to drive, craig? that's a little young. you must be a child prodigy.

it's a royal blue right now, and when you see it in person, you see beautiful metal flake. it's got a typical cheap subie paint job, though, so in the next few years it will get a full re-paint. same color, though. i *llllooovvvveee* that color.
no gold rims. it's too overdone. i might have them redone in bigger metal-flake, though. it would be a bit nicer.

problem is, they're rice. it would have to be a very well done design for me to like those on my car.
now, on the charger i dream about building, which would be a flat black...matt black rims and a red line around the rim would not be rice, but would be hawt.

not on any car made after 1960. that era ended, and it's best to leave it with the cars made for it.
thanks, jake.

difference between american style and european, i guess. whitewalls belong on a '57 chevy, or a '59 Thunderbird, etc etc. pontiac make the GTO, not ford.
*edit*
oops, see your edit. nah, it doesn't belong on the GT's, classic or new.
