The decrypter on my lap top is going at a rate of 75 kb/sec, someitmes slower. I have a new laptop, with 1 gig of ram, and 75 gigs of free space. I dont understand why this is taking so long, its new.

Have you checked if DMA is enabled? And are you using an internal or external drive?
