I have used dvd shrink to make back up copies of some of my kids movies.
sometimes no problem and it works great.
Other times, it goes throught the process and won't burn. I wasted a lot of dvd's so I got a re-writable. Figured if it worked, I would then put in on a write once. It worked on the re-writeable but then would not burn to the other. Any ideas why some movies won't burn? (size is fine).

Hi see2000,
I have found the 50% of the problems "US" newbies run into is crappy media. Check out the media posts and you will find a vast majority of established users here all use the same disks. Try Ritek/Ridata GO4's or Verbatum disks and see if you have the same problem. If the problem goes away it;s just bad media.

Since your using memorex and getting some good burns your problem is definatly your media. If you are going to the store buy Verbatim "datalife" (the ones that look like old movie reels) online go to merit line and buy Ritek G-04 "branded" (ie. RiData)

I will try different media as you all suggested. Is it a bad disk or just that particular movie on that type of disk? Thanks to everyone who replied to give me suggustions. I appreciate it! :)

The actual movie isn't the problem in your case. Low quality media is notoriously inconstent giving you a good burn here and a bad burn there so it can cetainly be misleading :)
