Odd problem with AVI to MPEG/MPG

Ok, first I'm new here, so I'm hoping this is the proper forum for this Question.

Here it is... I have an AVI file, the movie is approx 107 mins long if I recall. I went to convert it to an MPG using TMPGEnc and before turning off the monitor
I usually check to make sure it's starting normally. Well, it wasn't. No video, just audio.

And yes, it has video and audio that work perfectly when I play the file using say, Win Mediaplayer as an AVI.

So why won't TMPGEnc use the video when it converts it?

I used GSpot to see what's behind the scenes just in case it gave any obvious answers, and I didnt notice anything that stood out.

For video it shows:

Not sure if that's helpful or not, but I'd appreciate any help that anyone might be able to offer. I checked google and havent found anything mentioning a similar problem. Thanks.
