Hi, i just got rid of my Version 4 Messiah chipped playstation 2 because even a replacement laser wouldn't save it.

Now i have a brand new

"Playstation 2 (Black) plus Fitted Matrix Infinity Modchip"

and i'd like to keep it working for as long as possible.

I've heard that bad media can ruin your laser (I.E. wear it out) but i haven't found out which media (+/-) is better to use.

I have a liteon dvd rewritter which does plus and minus media types.

Yeah so basically that's my question plus or minus and which brand? A link to a cheap UK supplier would be outrageously advantageous as well.

newer versions can read either + or - but, - is usually more common. Brand wise most people seem to like Ritek G04 (rated for 4X).

how about verbatim rated for 4x is that as good? i cant find any ritek any where near my house only verbatim
