AVI to DVD problem

(and before anyone says ... i have checked the sticky above) :)

Hey, Well my problem is this:

I can convert AVI files to DVD perfectly, using winAVI Converter. They will play fine on an five year old player that I have lying around and also on my PC, but thats it.
Unfortunatly they fail to play on any other DVD player I try them on, and I have a suspicion this is because winAVI is streaming the Audio & Video into the same .VOB chapters.

My question is, How can I do this successfully with all DVD's become universal (so to speak) and working on every DVD player.
