I use either BitTorrent or emule depending on what I'm looking for. I use BT for new releases as you usually achieve very high speed downloads. If I am looking for a rare or "older" file I tend to use emule - ok the speeds arent great but you get it in the end and its never a fake (I use Shareconnector links).

Limewire = Terrible

BT for latest releases? are you mad?

the best place for the latest and fastest releases is IRC hands down

ok, emule is ok if u configure it right and theres enough sources - but come on, for the odd rare files just use Kazaa Lite Tools K++

It's terrible, It's trash
I'm sure other appz like BT & IRC have more user's but at the end of the day it's down to the individuals needs & requirements as to what app they want to use.
Do they have plenty to share, do they wanna leech, are they gonna be downloading mass amounts!!
I personnally use Shareaza, not a great deal but from time to time when the need arises. Therefore im not constantly connected but when i am i only download small files (mainly audio).So Shareaza suits my needs, it's found all of the files i've searched for and downloaded fast.
As 'Sivioke' never gave any indication of his needs i mearly pointed out Shareaza. Surely it's down to the individual to check out the various p2p appz until he decides upon one which suits him. The forum is an open base for suggestions after all isn't it!
anyway have a break, go for a beer. Keep up the good work;)

Use MLDonkey, i've yet to discover any P2P app quite as great. Uses most recognized networks i.e FastTrack, Bittorrent, Gnutella, Gnutella2, DirectConnect, SoulSeek,
Donkey, plus others. Also it works on most platforms, my MLDonkey servers running on Solaris and the client on FC2. Check it out 'newbs' and remember what a subjective topic this is before flaming people ;o
