i have a version 3 ps2. i have made backups of my dvds on Maxell dvd+r's and Memorex dvd+r's. Now, sometimes, my ps2 reads the maxell discs, but other times it wont read the exact same disc. and it rarely ever reads the memorex discs....Why?! it pisses me off. somedays it plays my movies, other days it wont...is there anything i can do?

the version 1,2 and 3 only can read dvd-r not the dvd+r so you have to get good dvd-r media or try to clean the laser
