Problems with XviD-AVIs in Ulead Media Studio Pro 6.0

I'm using Ulead Media Studio Pro 6.0 for video editing. Since I recently encoded all my new clips with the XviD-codec instead of DivX, I can't import them to Media Studio anymore. When a clip is put in the video track and should be previewed (or either finally rendered), the screen is just black (doesn't depend on encoding codec, problem really is the source file).
I've tried XviD 1.0.0 and 1.0.2 in several configurations. Other codecs (like DivX or Huffyuv) work fine. But now I already have several 100 clips of single scenes prepared with Virtual Dub, XviD-encoded. :-(((
