how to boot Madden 2005 and Neo2 ?

Hi.

I have a version 1 PS2 and a NEO2 and I use the swap/knife method with Gameshark and DMC demo to load my backups.

I tried to copy Madden 2005 with alcohol 120.I have made many other successful backups in the past with this.

When I try to load Madden, I only get a black screen. it seems that it starts to load, but then just stops before it even gets to the playstation screen.

i know others have been able to backup thier copies, so you have any idea as to what I should do/try next?
