hi.

i've followed your guide "Copy your DVD into DivX5 format - Guide for 16:9 anamorphic movies".

i've got it all working til the virtualdub part... when i go to compression menu, and choose divx5 (there isn't divxPro5) and click configure, the dialogwindow is not the same at all as in your guide, though it says divxPro 5.xx. there's only two tabs, general and video, and i can't find a 2pass option anywhere. so i tried the 1pass. the quality would do but i get no sound.

i've tried divx4 codec and there i can find 2pass option, i've set them properly (1st and 2ndpass), but then clicking start in the jobcontrol makes virtualdub crash.
i get a message:

virtualdub program failure
crash details:
an out-of-bounds memory access (access violation) occurred in module 'virtualdub'

please help out, i'm desperate.

hi!

yeah... i used the links in the guide to download all the software but it seems like i got divxPro 5.2.1. and the guide uses divxPro 5.0... i'll try and find the older version of it...

rather than going to 5.0

i would suggest going with xvid 1.0.2

it seems system can't see the codec due to conflict, etc....

have you install VirtualDub handlet. click on the auxsetup and install.
