Technika dp301 adio sync problems

I am a newbie to all so if you can bear with me I would be grateful.

I have made a dvd disc from an xvid avi using nero express and it plays pretty good on my technika dp301 standalone player except for the sound.

This loses sync pretty fast. But if I press the stop button and then play again it resumes the film but the audio is in sync again.

I can watch the disc but doing this about once every minute and a half gets u pretty mad after an hour and a half.

Is it the player or the disc that is sending me through the roof.
