DVDX pros needed

I've been using DVDx 2.3 for little while now and wanted to ask the regulars here about ripping speed. I have somewhat of a ok fast computer and would like to see if theres any ways on ripping chapters faster. I have a 2.4 ghz pentium/soyo dragon ultra platinum motherboard/512 mb and it takes about twice the length of chapter to rip. Here are my settings:

Input Settings: Didn't change much except for...
1. iDCT: SSE2 (Intel P4)
2. Output Frame Rate: 29.97 (NTSC)

That's it... I was wondering should I bump up the "Save your DVD drive: Size more? It's set and uses the default Size 10MB / Location is RAM

Output Settings:

Movie Size: 320 x 240 pixels
Video codec: Indeo 5.10 (1 pass)
Audio Codec: CD quality 44.1k ACM:PCM
Zoom: Medium

Rest is default...


What i'm trying to achieve is less waiting time. I realize I am ripping to AVI and 44.100k but I thought the Resolution (320x240) might make the ripping faster.

Is there any tips you guys can offer to make my machine rip faster w/o changing the Output settings I mentioned? I can't stand 30 minutes for a 10-14 min. chapters.
