Have downloaded a 6 episode Tv series fine and converted with winAvi no problem. When I try to burn I get the error is too big for the disc - is there anything I can use to compress so it will fit onto a standard dvd-r disc ?

I'm having a similar problem. I have dvd-clone II, and I was trying to copy a TV show compilation DVD. When I attemped to burn it on to two DVD-Rs, the first DVD had one episode recorded, and the second DVD had nothing but the menu screen...

When you compressed your DVD into an .AVI file, how large did the file become?
