I am relatively new to PS2 modding so please forgive me if this is a basic question, but I've found differing opinions on this subject.
I have a ver7 ps2, and I just purchased and installed a fliptop cover and a set of swap magic 3.2 discs. The swap magic DVD disc works fine. I am able to boot backup DVDs without any problem.
However, I've had no success using the swap magic CD disc. I've tried a couple of different CD backups and none of them seem to work. Sometimes I get a bright red screen after swapping the discs. Sometimes the screen goes blank. Sometimes the screen flashes continously. Either way, the cd game never loads.
I've read some threads about CD images over 630mb not being able to be booted using the Swapmagic CD. All of the CD images I have are over 630 mb, so I'm thinking that might be my problem.
My question is how can I solve this problem. I've tried CD Loader and that didn't seem to help. I've read that Breaker Pro might solve this problem. Is that true? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, if the image is over 630 megs, you need to BUY breaker pro.

there are no ps2 cd based games over 630 megs. the only way you would have one is if you downloaded a dvdrip game of internet.

I see...thanks for the info. I assume breaker pro is not a free utility like cdloader?
Just to clarify, what do you mean by DVDrip? If there DVD games, could you conceivably burn them to DVD's instead of CD's and just simply use the swapmagic DVD disc?

some people are too cheap to buy dvd burners. so they rip stuff out of the dvd games so they will fit on cd.
