MC exploit useing ps1 mem card?

Heh the reason i ask is because i have a modded psone :P i ordered hdloader and should get it by the end of the week but would like to tinker with the mc exploit if possible.

I read the mc exploit useing network to ps2 but man alive i dont understand a thing about how u do that and i thought i knew how to do most the easy stuff :P

what exactly are you trying to do?

psone did you say?

i dont see how this can work in any way

since firstly, hdloader is onyl for ps2 games

secondly, you need to connect the hdd to the ps2 network adapter, which fit in the ps2 not the psone

thirdly, if you have already ordered the hdloader, you dont really need the exploit

the exploit jsut lets you laod a small program from a ps2 memory card whcih will boot upon inserting a specific psone ORIGINAL cdrom

explain wht you wish to achieve and then maybe someone can help you

Yes i am aware of all that i do have a ps2 network adapter and a hard drive its just that to use this exploit ur ps2 has to be able to boot backups.

Which mine does not have a mod chip but my ps1 does and ps2's can read ps1 mem cards.

So i thought there might be away to make a cd and boot it on my ps1 put the exploit on the ps1 mem card then put the mem card in my ps2 and use a psx original disk to use the exlpoit just till my hdloader disk gets here.

okay, now i get it

as far as i know, this wont work, since the exploit installer is a ps2 thing, and also since it will only boot from a ps2 memory card

basically, the exploit seems to install it INTO the "System Settings", or "Configuration" whatever its called

this file is stored on ps2 memory card and not ps1

its like game saves, you cant save a ps2 game save on a ps1 mem card, and vice versa

so i think youll just have to wait till your hdloader gets to you

yes this won't work... the PS1 memcard is 1Mbit... 128KBs.... the exploit is several megs... plus I think the PS2 Browser won't allow you to copy the system file from one card to another. At least I couldn't copy my DVD Player file over.

The Exploit is available for use with AR MAX and a USB Thumb Drive... as the list is also very large ... each containing about 200 PSOne games as triggers.... just find one with some of the games you have... The file I downloaded had about 10 of the PSOne games I have.
