Cog Swap Loader Problem...
Hi,
i finalkly got Cog Swap Loader to work after a lot of hassle and thought wow this is wicked, now I can just stick in my PSX disc and it will load up everytime... no more reboots when the darn 'Please Insert a Playstation 2 disc' screen comes up!!! However when I try to play a CD based game I swap the disc over (using FLIP TOP) and press X and I get nothing but a Black screen!! The games I tried were Winning Eleven 7 International & The Sims as these are the only backups I have on CD. Winning Eleven 7 International just stayed on the Cog Swap Loader screen and The Sims started loading then just went Black. When I tried them both with the Swap Magic CD again they both worked fine... any ideas???
Thanks!!

ok, thanks.... (My set up is: PS2 v6, SM DVD 2.0, SM CD 3.0, FLIP TOP LID)
1. Turn on PS2
2. Hit eject and put in my PSX disc (which happens to be Championsip Manager Quiz (SLES_036.34)
3. Wait for the CogLoader screen to come up
4. Use my Flip Lid to exchange my PSX disc for my PS2 CD-ROM game (The Sims).
5. Close the FLIP LID and press X
6. Nothing happens!!!
Is there anything I'm doing wrong? Or does the CogSwapLoader just not work for all games like Swap Magic does? Apparently you can get Swap Magic on your memory card now... is this true???
Thanks
Paul

Have you tried any other ps2 backups? I cant see anything wrong with your booting method.
you could try using cdloader to boot it, if that doesnt work then its probably an incompatible game.
Swap magic on your memory card? I dont see the point of that if you got cog swap loader installed.

the problem is step 4, after step 3, press eject and put in an original higher TOC cd based game, wait for the disc on screen to turn purple/blue, then continue with step 4

Aaaah I see!!!
So what are the highest based TOC on the PSX CDRom Games... or can you use PS2 CD-Rom games too???
So basically when the screen turns blue/purple it should be ok to load?

You can use your SwapMagicCD to refresh the TOC also.

yep he's right, smcd can be used too, providing the reason you're not using it to boot cd based games in the first place is 'cause your ps2 has trouble reading it
