hi

im having alot of trouble installing the OGG Vorbis codec on my XP machine.

everytime i try to install it, i check the list of installed audio codecs on my computer, and it doesnt show up in the list

ive uninstalled it, rebooted etc. and still no luck

i actually need the codec installed, and not just a player that is able to decode ogg files

im fairly proficient with a computer - but im new to this codec business. from what ive read - i might have conflicting codecs on my machine - but im dubious about deleting/installing codecs without any guidance

just incase its helpful - these are the audio codecs that ive got present...

IMA ADPCM Audio CODEC
Microsoft ADPCM Audio CODEC
Microsoft CCITT G.711 Audio CODEC
Microsoft GSM 6.10 Audio CODEC
DSP Group TrueSpeech(TM) Audio CODEC
msg723.acm
Windows Media Audio
Sipro Lab Telecom Audio Codec
Fraunhofer IIS MPEG Layer-3 Codec
Indeo audio software
ctmp3.acm
Intervideo MP3 Audio CODEC
Microsoft PCM Converter
