ASPI? Stupid question!

OK. I know this is probably a very basic question but what is my "ASPI" setting and how do I know if it's ok? I'm trying to use DVD Decrypter but can't get it to burn a back up of NTSC PS2 game?
It tansfers to hard drive fine but won't burn to DVD+R, keep getting I/O error, failed to write sectors 0-31, blah, blah! What am I doing wrong?

Also, decrypter instructions say I should have a ".DVD" extension to transfer, I haven't but I got ".MDS" & ".ISO". It tells me to select the ".MDS"(?), whatever that is?
Can someone please help?
