I want to edit files from a DVD with Adobe Premiere 6.0 Is this possible or am i wasting my time? If it is not possible, do you think it will be possible in the future?

Yeah, it's possible. You probably just need to change the format to something that you can actually edit if Premiere can't open VOB files (first ripped to HDD, obviously) directly.

Rip the movie to HDD first and try to open the VOB files with Premiere. If it doesn't work, try to Demux the files (DVDDecrypter's latest version should be able to Demux the files when ripping them) into separate audio and video streams -- those normally can be opened with all the tools that support MPEG-2.
