Hi, I hv a hp desktop running win xp. Recently i purchased 50 empire recordable CDs (sure, i've never heard of it but sounds like underground junk) from a warehouse outlet, which i deeply regret due to its bizarre antics. I loaded the empty cd into my hp writer & tried to test-copy a few files, but it wouldn't let me do it. Instead it digitally depleted the space in the CD, thereby bringing down the freespace from 700 MB to 678 MB, but it didn't copy the files. I'm absolutely sure that my HP writer is in perfect shape. To prove that i tested with hp cds, which worked perfectly fine. I'm pissed off & frustrated at this piece of junk which somehow made its way to the market. This sucks to the point of no return!!!
